22. “Has” digunakan untuk membentuk present perfect tense dan
present perfect continuous tense, hanya untuk orang ketiga
tunggal.
• He has lived here for two years.
Dia telah bertempat tinggal di sini selama dua tahun.
• He has been working with the Mega Bank for three years.
Dia telah (sedang) bekerja pada Bank Mega selama tiga
tahun.
• He has bought a house.
Dia telah membeli sebuah rumah.
• She has been staying at my house this month.
Dia telah tinggal di rumahku bulan ini.
• The bird has been here since two hours ago.
Burung itu telah berada di sini sejak dua jam yang lalu.
• The bird has been flying since four o’clock in the afternoon.
Burung itu telah terbang sejak pukul empat sore.

23. “Have” digunakan untuk membentuk present perfect tense dan
present perfect continuous tense untuk (orang pertama dan
kedua tunggal) dan (orang pertama, kedua, dan ketiga jamak).
• I have lived in Selagik since 1973.
Saya telah bertempat tinggal di Selagik sejak tahun 1973.
• You have been waiting for me since seven o’clock.
Kamu telah menunggu saya sejak pukul tujuh.
• We have teaching at UIN Mataram in Mataram for sixteen
years.
Kami telah mengajar di UIN Mataram di Mataram selama
enam belas tahun.
• They have studied English since two years ago.
Mereka telah belajar bahasa Inggris sejak dua tahun yang
lalu.

24. “Had” digunakan untuk membentuk past perfect tense dan past
perfect continuous tense.
• I had painted my car when my friends arrived.
Saya telah mengecat mobilku ketika teman-temanku tiba.
• The bus had left before we arrived.
Bis telah berangkat sebelum kami tiba.
• My sister had studied book-keeping before she found work
at the bank.
Saudara perempuanku telah belajar tata buku sebelum dia
mendapatkan pekerjaan di bank.
• Roland had been playing chess when I finished my
breakfast.
Roland telah sedang bermain catur ketika saya selesai
sarapan.
